Mr. Glen B. Gosier

Mr. Glen B. Gosier

Manager/Director

Mr. Gosier is a native of Dixie, GA, where he was born and raised on his family farm.  Mr. Gosier is an Agriculture Educator in the Thomas County Schools System.  Gosier began his career in Funeral Service in 2007 at Darien Funeral Home in Darien, GA.  There he was trained by Mr. Nathan Gilbert who still mentors Mr. Gosier.  He also trained at C. L. Page Mortuary in Jacksonville, Fl under the leadership of fellow Dixie native Mrs. Carla L. Page.  

Mr. Gosier is married to Mrs. Endia Gosier.  The two have six boys Princeton, Triston, Gabriel, Glen Jr. , Grant, and Grayson.  We are grateful to have the opportunity to minister through service to Thomas County and the surrounding areas of South Georgia and North Florida.

Mr. Gosier is a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer in the the states of Georgia and Florida.  Mr. Gosier is a Life Member #14116 of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc., locally with the Mu Beta Beta graduate chapter of Thomasville, GA.  

Education, Mr. Gosier Graduated from Fort Valley State University with a Bachelor Science Degree in Agriculture Education in 2006.  Ogeechee Technical College with an Associate Degree in Funeral Service Education in 2009.  Auburn University with a Master Degree in Agriscience Education in 2011.  Auburn University with and Educational Specialist Degree in 2012.  Currently a PhD candidate at Auburn University.

I work at Thomas County Central High School as the Principal Secretary and at Hatcher Peoples Funeral Home as a female attendant.  I am a native of Boston, GA and currently reside in Thomasville, GA.  I attended TCCHS and lettered in Basketball and Track and Field.  I earned a basketball scholarship and played collegiately for Darton College and Clayton State University.   I am the mother to two daughters O'miyah and My'Ajah.  I have been part of the Hatcher Peoples Funeral Home staff for a year.  I chose to work in the funeral industry, because I am able to provide support to families during an important time in their lives.


Mr. Eric Hampton

Operations Manager

Eric Hampton was born and raised in Thomasville, Georgia.  He was educated in the Thomasville City School System and is a 1983 graduate from Thomasville High School.

Eric served his country in the United States Navy From 1984 Until 1988, when he was honorably discharged.  In 1988 he returned to Thomasville and began a career with the Thomasville Police Department, where he is now the Assistant Chief of Police.

Eric grew up on Wright Street next door to Hatcher Peoples Funeral Home.  As a child he was fascinated with the funeral home and the action there.  Mr. Benjamin Hatcher, the owner of the funeral home was and still is a role model for Eric.  Mr. Hatcher employed Eric as a youth around the funeral home, where his job was to keep the newly paved parking lot swept clean with a push broom.  In later years after returning from the military, Eric became a funeral attendant and administrative assistant to Mr. Hatcher.  He has maintained employment with Hatcher Peoples Funeral Home for 36 years, recently being promoted to the position of Operations Manager under the direction of Owners Mr. Glen Gosier and Mrs. Endia Gosier.


Pastor James Knolton

Elder James Knolton Sr is the Senior Pastor of Refuge Temple Ministries of Ochlocknee, GA.  He has been Pastoring for 27 years.  Proud father of 3 wonderful children, James Jr, Tranessa, and Stephanie.  I'm married to my wonderful wife of 51 years, Mrs. Wanda Horne Knolton.  I began working with the funeral home just shy of my 16 birthday when the funeral home was still running an ambulance service.  After my service in the military I became one of the First African American Fireman in the City of Thomasville.  During this time I resumed my duties at the funeral home.  From then until now I have been part of the staff here at Hatcher Peoples Funeral Home all of my adult life.  My motto is "If you don't see it now, just keep looking!"

My name is Travonte Lomax.  I've been part of the Hatcher Peoples Funeral Home Staff for three years.  Since childhood I have had interest in becoming a funeral service professional.  I enjoy ministering through service to our famalies.  I am a youth minister and I Love working with youth and young adults.  I am also the minister of music at Refuge Temple church in Ochlocknee, Georgia.  I love music, spending time with my family, traveling, working, and being an inspiration to other young people.  My motto is "Doing the right thing never goes out of style!"


Mrs. Brenda Wilson

Director of Cosmetology and Beautician

I have worked for Hatcher Peoples Funeral Home for 11 years.  I Love what I do, I Love the smile on families face when they come and see their loved ones.  It is something that I have always aspired to do since I was a child.  I would like to thank Mr. Hatcher for giving me a chance to do so.  Now  I have new bosses Mr. and Mrs. Gosier, and I would like to thank them for allowing me to continue to do what I Love.  They are awesome people.  My hobbies are that I Love riding motorcycles and I also like to cook.


Ronald Haywood

Mr. Ronald Haywood is a 1988 Graduate of Thomas County Central High School.  Mr. Haywood earned a Bachelor Degree from Thomas University in Criminal Justice.  Retired from the Army Reserves after 30 years in 2021.

Mr. Haywood is Married to Rasheedah Haywood and together they share 4 children and 2 grandchildren.  When not working, Mr. Haywood enjoys traveling and riding his Harley.

Mr. Haywood began working in the funeral service industry in 2006, under the mentorship of the late Jerry Grooms.


Mr. Earl Harris

Director of community relations

Earl Harris is from Iron City, Ga and later moved to Bainbridge, Ga.  He graduated from Hutto High School Class of 1968.  Mr. Harris relocated to Thomasville, GA and graduated from Thomas Technical School ( Walton Vocational- Technical Division) receiving a diploma in Auto Body Repair.  He served in the U. S. Army as a Combat Engineer (Demolitionist) in Korea.  After, he served as a Firefighter, Driver Engineer, a Lieutenant, and retired as a Captain of the Thomasville Fire Department with 30 years of service.  

Earl is married to Lizzetta (Wilson) Harris ( over 50 years).  In addition they have three children, 7 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.  Furthermore, he is a member of Clifford Temple C. M. E. Church.  Earl has been employed with Hatcher People Funeral Home for over 40 years.
