William Weatherspoon Sr

William Weatherspoon, Sr. was born to the late Roosevelt Weatherspoon and Doretha Smith in Metcalf, Ga on December 21, 1935.

He retired from Flowers Baking Company with 35 years of service. He married the late Katie Lee Washington on April 20, 1958, and their union lasted for 61 years.

Those left to cherish his memories are his children William Weatherspoon, Jr., Gregory (Catherine) Weatherspoon, and Cynthia Weatherspoon; 13 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Katie Lee Washington Weatherspoon, his children, Larry McCord, Marcus Weatherspoon, and daughter-in-law, Linda McCord.  Brothers and Sister-in -law Lawrence and Charlie Mae Washington Sr, Eddie James Washington, and George and Grace Washington, and one great grandchild, Shiya McCord.
