Priestly Green Jr. of Thomasville, Georgia passed away at Archbold Memorial Hospital on February 15, 2022. Priestly, affectionately known as "Boo Boo" to family and "PJ" to most friends, was born in Thomasville, Georgia to the loving parents Priestly Green Sr. and the late Viola Green at Archbold Memorial Hospital on February 18, 1956. Most of his childhood was spent in Thomasville.
In 1965, he moved to Long Island, New York with his parents and siblings. They lived in Roosevelt NY where he made many friends. In 1975, PJ graduated from Roosevelt High School. Shortly after graduating he joined the US Army, 101st Airborne Division (Paratrooper). He was also a trained Redeye Gunner. In 1978, he returned home. Soon after in late 1978 he met Glenda, the mother of his five children. In 1997, he met Crystal, the mother of his youngest child. PJ spent most of his years in recovery living a clean and sober life. He went above and beyond for anyone, whether you were family or not. He was intelligent and comical. Priestly was the true definition of a son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, nephew, and friend to all.
In his memory, Priestly leaves behind his Children, Antoinette Green, Priestly Green III, Mercedes Green, Byron Green, Ava Green, and Cameron Green; Grandchildren: Armoni McCallum, Nevaeh Skinner, Byron Green Jr., Briyanna Green, Micah HighSmith, Niya Allen, Eva-Desire Green, Kailani Stone, Jelaya Green, Bonnie Green; Great-grandchild: Shyla Smith; Father: Priestly Green, Sr.; Siblings: Verona Green Miles, Thomas Greene; Mothers of His Children: Glenda Green and Crystal Drafts; Aunts: Mamie Lewis, and Rosemarye Boykins; Uncle: David Lewis; Cousins: Sabrina Boykins, Susanne Boykins, Rhonda Lewis, Asia Lewis Ross, and Mary Westbrook; Son In Law: Thazjay Stone.
Priestly was preceded in death by his mother Viola Green and nephew Stanley Miles, Sr.
