Mrs. Lillian (Williams) Scott, the daughter of the late Robert and Henrietta Scott, was born October 10, 1932, in Thomas County, Georgia.
She was married to the late J.C. Williams Sr., and to this union, seven children were born. At an early age, she accepted the Lord as her personal Savior and joined Bethlehem C.M.E. Church. In later years, she joined Clifford Temple C.M.E. Church, where she served faithfully on the Stewardess Board, Kitchen Committee, and as Leader of her Birthday Month annually. She was "Mama" and "Granny" not only to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, but to so many others.
On Monday, July 15, 2024, our dear Mother and Grandmother departed this life and leaves to treasure a life well lived her daughters: Patricia Williams Dale, Janice (Noel Sr.) Thomas; her sons: Phillip (Patricia) Williams, Hoyt (Elizabeth) Williams; twenty grandchildren; thirty-seven great-grandchildren; special nephews: Charles Scott, Ezekiel Scott Jr.; special son John Choice; special daughters: Sandra Burke, Grace Williams; special friends/neighbors: Willar Marie Spencer and Josie Robinson; a host of several other nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her children J.C. Williams Jr., Henrietta Williams Walker, grandson Michael Bowens Williams; sisters Lillie Lawson, Carrie Scott, Rosa Mae Stafford, Vivian Scott; brothers Ezekiel Scott Sr., Bobby L. Scott Sr., and Allen Scott Sr.
