Eddie Bennett Obituary

It was May 18, 1927. A beautiful day in Hawkinsville. GA because Rev. Everrett and Queen Ann (Williams) Belle welcomed the 12th of their 13 children. They named this baby girl Eddie B.
(period) Belle. She was loved by her family and loved her family dearly.

At an early age the family moved from Hawkinsville to Metcalf. They became members of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church and it was here where she would give her life to the Lord.


Eddie B. (period) would later meet and marry her 1st love Harry Robinson to which 7 children were born. They would move to Boston, MA and begin a new life together. They united with New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. however she later moved her membership to St. John Missionary Baptist Church where she was a faithful member of the gospel chorus.


Eddie B. (period) would begin a career in the healthcare industry working for several nursing homes and hospitals in the Boston area. She also became a foster parent and fostered many children. She loved taking care of the elderly and children. She also loved music and animals.


After some time in Boston Eddie B. (period) decided to return home to GA and settled in Thomasville where she united with First Unity Missionary Baptist Church. Eddie B.(period) began working at Southwestern Hospital and later switched paths and began working at Douglass Middle School.


Eddie B.(period) met and married her true love Richmond Bennett. Eddie B.(period) became a member of St. Beulah Primitive Baptist Church and later they moved their membership to Oak
Grove Primitive Baptist Church.


Anyone who knew Eddie B.(period) knew that she loved the Lord with all her heart, with all her soul, with all her mind and loved everybody "more";. Her willingness to help anybody lead her to
volunteer with Hospice of Thomasville.


Eddie B.(period) joined her parents, siblings, husbands and first jewel, Jolene Robinson Bell early Tuesday Morning.


Her remaining jewels: Avis Hasan, Marcia R. Brown (Robert), Hazel L. Robinson(Philip), Gregory L. Robinson, Brian E. Robinson, Tracy D. Robinson(Montenia Collier), and John and Faye Smith;
her legacy jewels: Simone W. Sullivan(Lester), Sylvester A. Bell Jr., Don Marie Bell, Nicole I. Gonzales (Luis), Jeffery L. Smith Sr. (Carla), Jennifer R. Smith, Nina S. Gains, Dominique M.
Gooding(Dennis), Danny A. Lewis Sr.(Cara), Giselle A. Brown, Philip J. Robinson, Nia R. Robinson, Tracy D. Jordan(Taurus), and Byron J. Johnson(Lia); bonus jewels: Dorothy Williams,
Connie German, Freddie Sapp, Melvin Jackson, and Gregory Clark. Her grand legacy jewels includes 25 great-grandchildren and 12 great great-grandchildren. Also a host of nieces, nephews,
cousins, friends, and church family.
