Obituary
Deacon Terry Stephens was born in Boston, GA on July 7, 1959, to the late Reverend Charlie and Louise Stephens. He accepted Christ at an early age and
joined Richland Missionary Baptist Church, where he was a dedicated and devoted deacon.
Terry joined the military in 1977 and he completed 20 years of active duty and National Guard time. Terry also completed a tour in Iraq, where he protected and served his country.
Terry was a devoted friend to many and never met a stranger. He was a dedicated and loving husband, father, grandfather, and sibling. He loved to make others laugh and smile; he was known as the family comedian.
He was preceded in death by his father, Reverend Charlie Stephens; mother, Louise T. Stephens; and brother, Rufus Stephens.
Terry leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Pearl Stephens; two children, Latoya Stephens and Nigel Stephens; three sisters, Lucille Gordon, Patricia
(Michael Sr.) Wright of Jacksonville, FL, and Alice Stephens of Fayetteville, NC; six brothers, Charlie (Cynthia) Stephens of Thomasville, GA, Earnest (Eula)
of Jonesboro, GA, Samuel Stephens and Bobby (Louise) Stephens, both of Thomasville, GA, Ricky (Vivian) Stephens of Palmetto, FL, and Tony (Kelly) Stephens of Lawrenceville, NJ; six grandchildren, Nyla, Jesiah, Semira, Cerenity, J’Sean, and Jordynn; very special friend, Harry Jefferson; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other special friends.
