Obituary
Charlie Hill was born May 22, 1945, in Thomasville, Georgia, to Robert Hill, Jr., and Berthine Anderson Hill, both of whom preceded him in death.
He grew up on North Broad Street and was known all over the neighborhood. Many of these neighborhood friends included Merrill Baker (Baby Merrill), Nelson Andrews, Shug Brown, Elmo, Loretta, and Janice Hadley, and of course, Benjamin (Ben) Hatcher.
He graduated from Douglass High School and went on to marry Brenda Lee Harris Hill, producing three daughters, Tammara, Vanessa, and Melanee. His second marriage to the late Adele
Boyd would produce a son, Allen Hill.
Charlie was a simple man who worked hard at Chrysler and enjoyed fishing, traveling, talking, and laughing. His brother, Robert Alfred Hill, and sister, Constance Hill Daniels, both preceded him in death.
He had classmates who will remember him fondly and two special cousins who were raised with him, William Mack, Jr., of Freeport, New York, and Florine Mack Ratliff of Murfreesboro,
Tennessee. He also leaves three grandchildren, Kenneth, Steven, and Trista to carry on his memory.
