Bobby Lewis Brunner was born in Lakeland, Florida on November 15, 1961, to his parents Lewis and Nadren Brunner. On Tuesday, March 5, 2024, he was called home after a lengthy illness.
At an early age, Bobby was baptized at Willow Head Missionary Baptist Church in Thomasville, GA and again later in life at St. Paul AME Church in Fort Meade, FL. He graduated from Thomasville High School in 1979,attended the University of Georgia, and later graduated from Polk Community College. He always supported his favorite sports teams - the Georgia Bulldogs and Florida State Seminoles. During his career, he worked as a phosphate mine technician and as an automotive mechanic. He found his joy in using his hands to fix things and to solve mechanical puzzles.
He was preceded in death by grandparents Norwood and Lillie Mae Brunner of Kissimmee, FL, and Omer Lee and Nadren Campbell of Fort Meade, FL; and sister Cynthia Mascoe of Kissimmee, FL. He is survived by his mother and father, Lewis and Nadren Brunner of Thomasville, GA. He also leaves to cherish his memory two daughters Patriece Brunner of Broxton, GA and Shaniece Brunner of Norcross, GA; siblings Laquan Brunner and Stephanie (Benjamin) Tillman of Thomasville, GA and Lee Brunner of Smyrna, GA; grandchildren Brianna Butler of Doraville, GA, Jeremiah and Gabriella Grigsby of Mesquite, TX, Stephanie and Kayla Powell of Broxton, GA; uncles Cecil (Rosemary) Campbell of Bartow, FL and Andrew (Joice) Jones of Thomasville, GA; aunt Faye (E.K. Brown) Campbell of Brandon, FL; a special friend Dorothy Parker of Havana, FL; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
