Obituary
Mother Annie Lee Shannon was born in Metcalf, Georgia on November 27, 1937, to the late Mrs. Beaulah Murray Ceasar and Joe Franklin. Annie Lee Shannon departed this life
on October 21, 2023.
Annie Lee Shannon attended school at New Unity of Boston, GA.
At an early age, she was converted and joined Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in Metcalf, GA, where she served faithfully as a member of the Senior Choir, Mother Board,
and Treasury of the Missionary. She was a member of Bethel OES 31 Eastern Star Lodge and the Tabitha Chapter. Where she served as a member up to 2017. She retired from
Flowers Bakery after working 42 years. Mrs. Shannon enjoyed working in her garden, fishing, cooking, spending time with family, and loved to hear a word from the Lord. Mrs.
Shannon had a sweet and gentle spirit. She was a loving mother, sister, aunt, friend and Christian woman.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her daughters, Linda Gene Shannon, Darlene Shannon-Thomas, and Priscilla Ann Shannon; daughter-in-law, Earnestine Shannon all of Thomasville, Ga.; grandchildren, Trishun (Herbert) Futch, Ludowici, Ga, Quimberly (Keith) Rollins, Dothan, Al, Krystal Thomas of Warner Robins, Ga, Anthony Hardy, Rosanna Shannon, Jamaree Shannon, Roshonda Sapp, Latasha Gibson, Cynette Shannon, Crystal Hayes, Katrina Sapp, Sonya Thomas all of Thomasville, Ga; great-grandson Trivon (Candice) Williams of Germany, Aleecia Futch of Ludowici, GA, Amiyah Rollins Jordon Rollins of Dothan, AL, Jase Wright of Warner Robins, Ga, Tanaria Shannon of Miccosukee, Fl, Zjiya Shannon of Albany, GA, Javarreon Travis, Sania McClain, Janya Cooper, Elan Harrison, Kye Brooks, Xavier Merritt, Jeremy Hardy, Destini Rogers, Tyler Hardy all of Thomasville, Ga. Sisters: Queen (Charlie) Lamb, Johnnie (Paul) Guyton; Metcalf, Ga, Rebecca Pattmon, Enterprise, AI, Lorena (Frank) Engram, Flora Jean Guyton; Thomasville, Ga.; Brothers, Tellis (Miram) Harris, Frank Ceasar, Gary (Stephanie) Ceasar, John Ceasar, and Alvin Ceasar; all of Thomasville, Ga; aunts, Gladys Murray Mitchell Columbus, Ga Mary Alice Herman Hadley Thomasville, Ga; she leaves behind a host of great-great-grand, great nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Also neighbor and friend Mattie Andrews of 60-plus years.
Mrs. Shannon was preceded in death by her husband Earl Shannon, son Billy Shannon, and daughters Early Rene Sapp and Arthina “Fennie” Shannon.
