Mr. Willie Ree Jones, JR. also affectionally known as “Bruiser” or “Pop-Pop” was born December 8, 1950, to the late Willie Jones, SR, and Ruby Lee Jones in Randolph County, Georgia. He was a graduate of Thomasville High class of 1970, while obtaining his high school diploma, he worked for Archbold Memorial Hospital as an orderly. From there, he worked as a mental health technician with Northside Hospital and Southwestern State Hospital for a combination of 40 years. He did a brief stint as a machine operator at Textron before officially retiring. While at Archbold, he met his best friend and wife of 36 years. Carolyn Willis out of their union, came five children.
On November 28, 2023, at 10:38 PM he gained his wings. He will be deeply mourned by his sons, Willie (Wiggie) Jones III, and Kevin D. Jones. His daughter, Kayla M. Jones (Terry James JR) all from Thomasville, GA. His four grandchildren, Myiah James, Tiffanie Jones, Sadiyah James, and Terry James III. His youngest sister, Mary Frances Fields (Jones), beloved nieces and personal Chef Denise Dunbar Jones (Jeff), Smia Stevens, and nephew Leon Stevens, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his twin sons, Jeremy and Shaun Jones, brother Leon Jones, and sister Marie Jones.
