Obituary

Mr. Willie Rogers Marable Sr. was born September 5, 1934, to the late Luther Marable Sr. and Amelia Williams Marable. He was the last living male remaining from this lineage of 12 children.

Willie (Dena) enjoyed farming and raising livestock. His love for growing okra, peas, squash, greens, etc., was enjoyed to the end of his life. He also worked and retired from Thomas County School System as a bus driver.

He was married to the late Allene Turner Marable for over 62 years. To this union, 7 children were born.

Willie leaves to continue his legacy 5 sons and 2 daughters: Robert Turner (Gwen), Midway, GA; Jacob Marable Sr., Boston, GA; Gary Marable (Niya/Marche), Orlando, FL; Willie Marable Jr. (Jean), Valdosta, GA; Sharon M. Brown (Jack I), Boston, GA; Angela Marable, Valdosta, GA; and James Marable, McDonough, GA, as well as his beloved dog, Honey. He is also survived by 2 sisters, Cle-Esther Moore and Earnestine Sanders; 2 sisters-in-law, Ruth Marable and Willie Mae Marable; 25 grandchildren whom he loved dearly; 30 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
