Mother Rosie Hadley is a native of Ellaville, GA. She was the wife of the late George Hadley. Mother Hadley attended Schley County schools. She was a housekeeping manager at Days Inn Hotel for 19 years. She was an excellent cook and baker, and loved feeding people. She had a heart of love for everyone she came in contact with.
Mother Hadley was a faithful member of Providence M.B. Church. She served as a Mother and a member of the Clara Majors Senior Mission.
Mother Hadley leaves to cherish her memory: a son, Henry White (Racine, WI); a daughter, Betty Herbert (James) of Thomasville, GA.
10 grandchildren: Jeralyn Scales, Marissia White, Angelice White; Henry White, Jr. of Racine, WI; Ahzuree Herbert of Thomasville, GA; and James D. Herbert of Winnsboro, SC.
5 great-grandchildren: Cherrelle Scales, Janelle Scales (Racine, WI), Marquan Cobb (Milwaukee, WI), Makayla White, and Shameka Dozier of Atlanta, GA.
5 great-great-grandchildren: Ju’Liah Rawls (Atlanta, GA), Aaliyah Gates, Marterries Gates, Myla Gates (Racine, WI), and Marlee Cobb of Milwaukee, WI.
Mother Hadley was preceded in death by 5 siblings: Earnestine Dowsey, Clara Dowsey, Annie Hudson, Chester Dowsey, and James Dowsey; their parents, Marcellars Dowsey and Ida Bell Dowsey; and 3 grandsons: Carl Nearbrooke, Devin Herbert, and Shun Pinkston. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, and a special, extra daughter, Debra Rouzan.
Mother Rosie Hadley lived, loved, and served 99 years and 9 months on this earth. To God be the glory!
