Rev. Dr. Warren C Hope

Rev. Dr. Warren Hope Sr. was a devoted son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, educator, pastor and friend. At the age of 72, he peacefully entered into eternal rest on August 5, 2026. 

Rev. Dr. Warren Hope, Sr. was born on February 6, 1954 in Ocala, FL to the late Alga Hope Sr. and Julia Mays Hope. He was a lifelong educator beginning in 1979 until 2024 and a distinguished author.

 Rev. Dr. Warren Hope Sr. received his calling into the ministry in 1993. He was ordained and licensed as a minister in 1994 at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Santos, FL. Rev. Dr. Hope Sr. preached and shared the Gospel in numerous churches, touching countless lives with his messages of faith, hope,and love. Leaving a lasting spiritual impact on the congregation. He was the pastor of Silver Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Coolidge, Georgia for 26 years. He was a lifelong member of Alpha Phi Alpha, Epsilon Pi Lambda Chapter. 

He leaves to cherish his memory, his high school sweetheart and loving wife of 55 years, Cynthia Gaines Hope; son Warren Hope Jr. (Tiffany Johnson); daughters Kamaria Hope, Arisha Hope, Akilah Hope Davis (Kenardau); grandchildren Ariyanna Branham, Tamia Hope, Walter Reddick IV, Tia Hope, Preston Clayton III, Kyla Davis and Kameron Davis. Siblings: Dr. Joyce Hope-Scott, Zelma Hope, Annie Ruth Hope Beard-Cantrell (deceased), Alga Hope Jr. (Sonya), Barbara Hope (deceased), Mother-in-law Mary Gaines, Brother-in-laws Aurther Gaines, Ernest Gaines, Michael Pryor (Sandra), as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, colleagues and a devoted caregiver Nikki Murray. 

Rev. Dr. Warren Hope’s greatest joy was serving the lord, studying his word, and sharing the Gospel wherever he was called. He cherished spending time with his family, encouraging others through prayer, wise counsel and building relationships within his church and community. His legacy is one of integrity, compassion, and unwavering commitment to God and those he loved.
