Ray Gosier, born October 6, 1985, to Sam and Lillie Ruth Gosier, passed away recently. A beloved native of Thomasville, Georgia, Ray grew up in a close-knit community and was educated in Thomasville City Schools.
Ray’s life was characterized by his profound dedication to his family, who brought him immense joy and pride. His greatest joy was being a father to his son, Omarion Gorden of Waycross, Georgia. His unwavering commitment to his family was evident throughout his life.
Later in life, Ray relocated to Atlanta, Georgia, where he faced illness with remarkable courage and resilience. Despite the difficulties he encountered, his spirit remained unshaken. Ray is survived by his devoted sisters, Minnie Pearl Gosier and Henrietta Gosier, brother-in-law Roger Miller, and Mrs. Mary Mitchell (Godmother) who stood by him with unwavering support.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Lillie Ruth Gosier; his brother, Sammy Oliver Sr.; his sister Linda Gosier-Miller; and his nephew, Sammy Oliver Gosier Jr. Their absence leaves a profound void, but their memories will be cherished forever.
