Rajah (Hamma) Rhodes

Rajah Rhodes (A.K.A Hamma) was born on February 24, 1962, in Brooklyn, New York. He departed this world on October 23, 2022, in St. Barnabas Hospital at 4:36 P.M. Rajah was the first-born son of Rosa Rhodes and the late Calvin Rhodes. He attended his early years of learning in Brooklyn and continued to receive his Associate Degree from Poly-Technical College also located in Brooklyn. He was employed with the Fifth Ave Association Business Improvement of N.Y.C. Although Rajah's Life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by him understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. He was a proud father and Grandfather and told everyone within earshot about his loving family. Rajah would tell you that his daughters were his heart and the two loves of his life. He loved without reserve and gave of himself without hesitation. He was a thinker, with a quiet nature and a good heart. A mentor to the young and all who chose to listen to his words of wisdom. He lived and loved his life. He never complained of the disappointments or setbacks that come with living Rajah leaves to mourn his passing his: mother Rosa Lee Rhodes (Fayetteville, N.C); daughters: Rasheeda Gaines, Rakima Gaines; Spiritual-Son Kaheem Smith; Grandchildren Jahleel Josiah Gaines and Amarie Tonya Jefferson (South Carolina); Sisters: Saida Qaabidh, Denise Mathis, (Raleigh, NC) Kasseme Rhodes, Cheryl Faye Boone, Lisa Rhodes (Fayetteville, NC); Brother, Vernon Rhodes also of Fayetteville, NC; Two lifelong friends: Roy Brock and Lavelle Herring A.K.A. Bones (New York City) and a host of Nieces and Nephews and a community of friends. We love you Rajah, but God loved you best and his will has been done. Rest Peacefully
