Eddie Lewis Neloms was born on December 29, 1952, to the late Alma (Frank) Young Sr. and father the late John Aaron Neloms, Sr. all of Thomasville, GA. He departed this life on February 1, 2025, at Archbold Living. In his younger years, Eddie was a construction worker and was educated at Douglass High School.
Eddie accepted Christ at a very young age and was a member of First Seventh-Day Adventist Church. He loved the Lord and continued his belief and faith in walking with God until his transition. He was a treasure to his family, he enjoyed a life full of love, laughter and talking with them until transitioning to his heavenly home on February 1, 2025. Eddie will forever be cherished in the lives of his devoted sister and niece, Annette Monroe and Angela Tucker, who both were his caregivers and took excellent care of him until his transition. He was forever grateful and thankful for them each time they were in his presence, with a big smile and words, "Thank you, for taking care of me and I love you both".
Eddie leaves behind a lifetime of precious memories with his family and loved ones. Eddie is survived by his four loving sisters: Annette (Pliney) Monroe of Thomasville, Ga; Patricia (Ramsey) Ford of Thomasville, Ga; Barbara Davis of Thomasville, Ga and Virginia (Eddie Ray) Brinson of Thomasville, Ga. He also leaves behind his three loving brothers: Willie James (Alice Mae) Revels of Thomasville, Ga; Frank Young Jr. of Moultrie, GA; and Ricky (Catherine) Young Sr. of Valdosta, Ga. Also, two loving Aunts: Mary E. Grayson of Rochester, New York and Eula Williams of West Palm Beach, Fl. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. A dear previous caregiver, Mr. James Brown: Eddie also had a very special soulmate of his life, the late Mary Henderson.
Eddie was preceded in death byshis mother AlmaYoung and stepfather Frank Young Sr, his father John Aaron Neloms, Sr., his sister Vera Hollis, his brothers Henry Wesley Burke, Sr., John Neloms, Jr., Kenneth Young and Markell Young, his aunt Velma Williams and his uncles Edward and Artis Williams.
