Melissa Cornelia (King) Mitchell

On February 10, 2024, God was walking through his garden and he picked one his loveliest flowers. Melissa C. Mitchell (Lish) was born May 24, 1960, to the late Lucile Hudson King and John Fred King Sr. She completed all of her education in Thomasville, graduating with the THS class of 1978.

Melissa was a hard working woman who performed in manufacturing and home care. She was devoted to her family, loyal to all whom showed her loyalty, a loving mother, and she loved her grandkids, who called her Nana. She gave with her heart and soul to those in need, and that gave her joy. Melissa gave her life to Christ at an early age and devoted herself to serving the lord.

Of all of God's creations, he sent an angel among us.

Loving and remembering Melissa; her only daughter Tiffany Curry, (Sister ) Jackie Davis, (God-Sister) Betty Metcalf, (Brothers) Frederick King, John F. King Jr., Richard L. Hudson (Joann), grandchildren; Kentrell Sewell, Kaden Black, Kha’laiyah Carr, Khyson Cole, Niece: Tammie E. King. Aunt: Dorothy Haynes and a host of family and friends.
