Marvin Edgar Springle Sr

Marvin Edgar Springle, Sr., was born on January 27, 1963, to the late James and Sarah Springle. He was the youngest of thirteen children. Marvin transitioned at Archbold Memorial Hospital on June 15, 2023. He was a loving person and he never met a stranger. He loved life to the fullest. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Gwendolyn M. Springle, Herman D. Springle, William R. Springle, and Carol (Judy) Thompson.

He graduated from Thomasville High School in 1982. He married Melvia Tims on September 23, 2000. Unto this union, two sons, Marvin Jr. and Marquis, were born. He was employed by Thomas Drug Store, Bird Dog Bottle Company, the City of Thomasville, Hatcher’s Funeral Home, Fountain of Life Rescue, and Taylor Waste. He officiated games as a referee for basketball at Clay Street YMCA and football at Pop Warner. His Church affiliations were with Paradise Missionary Baptist Church and Mount Sinai Apostolic Church where he served faithfully until his illness.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories: wife, Melvia Springle; three sons, Marvin Springle, Jr., Tyrique Nixson, and Marquis Springle; siblings, Hiram J. Springle (Mary) of Greenville, South Carolina, Fannie L. Springle of Bronx, New York, Seneca T. Springle, Sr., (Janie), Barbara J. Springle, Raymond I. Springle of Thomasville, Georgia, Dorothea E. Anderson of Cairo, Georgia, Theadora D. Springle, Cassundra S. Brown (Lloyd-Tony) of Warner Robins, Georgia, and Wilfred A. Springle (Deborah) of Savannah, Georgia; brothers-in-law, Johnny Gilmore, Thomasville, Georgia, Arthur Gilmore, Jr., Albany, Georgia, and Carl Tims (Carol) of Macon, Georgia; special friends, Darlene Thompson, Angela Seabrooks, Hardy Clayton, George Thompson, and Anthony Roan; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
