Obituary

Mrs. Madie Davis Prather was born on July 13, 1940, in Thomasville Georgia. She was daughter of the late Dave and Ethel Davis. Mrs. Madie Davis Prather was a generous and caring person with everyone she met. As well, she loved her family. She was always willing to lead a helping hand to those in need. She was gifted in cooking and knitting and gardening. She will be missed greatly.

Mrs. Madie Davis Smith acknowledged a covenant with God at Bethel Missionary Church in Thomasville, Georgia. She was faith servant at Bethel, in which she held several titles ( Church Mother, Church secretary, a member of the Senior Choir, Deaconess board). God whispered to her heart, “It’s time to rest” on Saturday, June 10, 2023, and called Mrs. Madie to her heavenly home.

Mrs. Madie Davis Prather leaves her precious memories to one son Phillip (Cynthia) Prather; two brothers; Henry (Linda ) Davis; Hansell (Brenda) Davis; two brothers proceed her in death: Dave Davis Jr. (Bo); Willie Davis; two sisters Julia Richardson, Ethel Toombs; three devoted grandchildren; two grand-daughters -in law; three great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
