Mack (Coolbreeze) Mathis Jr

A resting angel, Mack Mathis Jr. (aka Cool Breeze), died June 12, 2024, at Magnolia Manor Nursing Home in Moultrie, GA.  Born June 7, 1959, in Thomasville, GA, he was the son of the late Mack Mathis Sr. and Sernella Mathis.  A lifelong resident of Thomas County, he worked in construction as a master carpenter.  He was an engineer of his trade, loved to dance, tell jokes, and loved people.  Mack knew the Lord at an early age.  Mack loved his family.

He is survived by his fiance' Marilyn Mays; father and mother-in-law Lonza and Gennie Garland Sr.; son Malcolm and Hannah Banks; daughter Kajuanjula and Michael Brown; sisters Annette Graham, Rebecca Davis, and Jewel Peters; brother Curtis Mathis; stepdaughters Simone and Antonio Scott, and Nicole and Derrick Scott; sister-in-law Angela Byrd; brother-in-law Allen Garland; uncle Terry Clarke; grandkids Torrance Green Jr., Kierra and Shawn Boyd, Noemi Moss, Malik and Lucy Banks; great-grandchild Amari Vanover; a host of grands and great-grands in Miami, Florida; nieces and nephews Sherry, Ronald Jr., and Brandon Davis, Shameika Peters, Kimberly and Kenneth Peters, Lisa and William Smith, Robert and Keisha Peters, Marvin and Renee Bush, Robert Jr. and Tina Luster.  Clifford and Quetta Bush, Alton Luster, Ernest Rogers, and Rosanna Bush; cousins James and Brenda Williams in Tampa, Florida, and Martha and Bobby Williams in Chicago, Illinois.

He was preceeded in death by his son Torrance Green Sr.; sister Ida Grace Luster; nieces Sernella Shavon Bush and Rokelle Luster.  Godparents Mr. and Mrs. Ben Hatcher; dearest cousins Prince and Wanda Mathis, and Flint and Patricia Mathis; dearest friend Rev.
