Lucious Jackson, Jr. (AKA June Boy) was born to the late Mrs. Wessie Lee Jackson and Lucius Jackson on September 23, 1948. After attending high school at Howard Academy in Monticello, FL, he moved to Miami, FL in 1966. He attended Florida Memorial College in 1968 and obtained his Associate’s degree in Business Administration. While obtaining his degree, he worked at Grand Union Grocery Store where he met a young lady by the name of Sandra Nealy who later became his wife. After leaving Grand Union Grocery Store, he started his career path at Nabisco in 1970, where he was a dedicated and loyal employee for over 40 years. He retired from Nabisco in Georgia as a regional manager in 2012. Lucious was a family man. He loved spending quality time with his wife, laughing with his daughter and throwing the football with his grandson. A day would not go by without him having his nightly chat with his brother. He also enjoyed being involved in the community. He was a devoted member of the Carol City Optimist Club, and this is where he was able to have a huge impact on helping and assisting the youth. He spent countless hours at Risco Park and Carol Park coaching football and baseball, while also being a mentor to several children. He was also a family man and truly loved helping others. He was known for being a support unit for those in need, offering a listening ear to those who seeking advice and a positive shoulder to lean on during hard times. He is preceded in death by his brother, William E. Jackson, sister-in-law Lois Jackson, nephew, William E. Jackson, Jr., and niece Tanyelle Jackson. He leaves to mourn his wife of 51 years, Sandra Jackson; daughter, Yolanda Jackson; only grandson, Jaden Lucious Jackson; brother, John Jackson II (wife, Lucy); nieces: Carol J. Holloway (husband, Shawn), Latasha Mobley, Sasha Coleman, and Chelsea Coleman; nephews: Kevin Coleman, Jr., Julius, Jamal and Jarvis Jackson; and oldest aunt, Lillie Kate Jackson; goddaughter: Yolanda Magee (husband, Charles), and godchildren Chayah, London, and Lynden Magee, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousin other relatives and friends that loved him dearly.
