Celebration of Life for Lonzell Thigpen

Lonzell Thigpen was born on July 7, 1960 in Metcalfe, GA to the late Willie and Luegene Thigpen, Sr.  At an early age, Lonzell was baptized at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Reverend Albert Sanders.  He attended Thomasville High School and graduated in 1978.

Lonzell will always be remembered for his passionate and vibrant approach to life. He had a magnetic personality and was “the life of the party”, but the joy of his life was his family. He leaves to cherish his memory: Loving Sisters – Mattie Murray of Thomasville, GA and Wynell Ross (Barry) of Jacksonville, FL., nieces who he adored like daughters: Keisha Brown and Monica Murray of Thomasville, GA, Nikki Murray of Tallahassee, FL, Trinette Banks of San Diego, CA, Christina Banks of Jacksonville, FL, Tara Sexion and Stephanie Sexion of Atlanta, GA, nephews he cherished like sons: Willie Thigpen, III, Christopher Thigpen, and Demetrius Sexion of Thomasville, Ga, Christopher Sexion and Curtis Sexion of Atlanta, GA, a loving Great-nephew: Keith Edward Copeland, Jr. of Thomasville, GA and a host of cousins, extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Willie and Luegene Thigpen, Sr., sisters: Fleeta Sexion and Cloretta Banks, brother: Willie Thigpen, Jr., and brother-in-law Virgil L. Murray, Sr.
