Jimmy Lee Macklin, Jr.

Mr. Macklin graduated from Thomasville High School  with the class of 1980. He played many sports and was a member of Omega Phi Beta Fraternity while in high school. He attended college at Fort Valley State University before returning home to Thomasville. For many years, he resided in Thomasville and was a faithful member of Willowhead Missionary Baptist Church before moving to Sparta, GA due to health concerns.

He leaves to cherish his wife: Sabrina Macklin of Thomasville, GA; one son: Jimmy (Synethia) Macklin III of Atlanta, GA; four very special aunts: Gwendolyn Lee, Mamie L. Williams and Marshall Williams all of Sparta, GA. and Susie Rhodes of Atlanta, GA; two sisters: Kima (Greg) Hobbs of Thomasville, GA and Tiffany Smith of Atlanta, GA; two brothers: Stanley Smith and Christopher Hammond both of Thomasville, Ga; two grandchildren: Jimmy Macklin IV and Jordyn Macklin of Atlanta, GA; three bonus daughters: Qjuanda Ross of Miami, FL, Whitney Nixson of Thomasville, GA and Ashley Nixson of Atlanta, GA; four bonus grandchildren: Tyrique Nixson and Brooklyn Nixson of Thomasville, GA, Xaviyana Grant of Atlanta, GA and Ryliegh Smith of Miami, FL; a special cousin: Travis Jones of Thomasville, GA and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents: Jimmy and Joanne Macklin, Sr.; grandmother: Mary Austin; aunt: Mary Francis Willis and great uncle: KT Williams.
