On April 29, 1956, Jim Edward James was born in Coolidge, GA. The son of the late Jim James, Jr. and Veola James. He grew up in Thomasville, GA and attended Thomas County Public Schools. Jim a.k.a "Eddie" had a passion for the outdoors. He enjoyed working with his hands, mowing yards, loved walking and helping others. He also enjoyed wearing his favorite cap. Jim had a big love at heart for his children and grandchildren. God saw the need to take him to another home on February 19, 2022 where peace, joy, happiness, and everlasting victory abides. He leaves to cherish his memory his three children, Edrick James (Sonja), VerKeshia Mathis (Robert) of Thomasville, GA, and Chico Keyron James (Bomi) of South Korea; Four Sisters; Annie Lois Johnson, Bertha Sardis, Iralean Shaw (Lemon), and Jacqueline James, all of Thomasville, GA; One Brother; Richard Lee James (LaTanya) of Macon, GA; Nine Grandchildren; a devoted aunt: Delma Coston of Thomasville, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
A special Thanks to A Special family friend who helped with Jim during his time of illness: James Brown and Azalea Way PCH & Staff in Thomasville, GA. Jim was preceded in death by his father, Jim James, Jr. and his mother, Veola James, as well as by his maternal and paternal grandparents Warren & Getrude Spivey and Jim James, Sr. & Emma Bowdry.
