J.C. Williams

Mr. J. C. Williams Sr., the son of the late Johnny and Fannie Lou Jones Williams was born February 2, 1927 in Thomas County, Georgia.

He was married to Lillian (Williams) Scott and to this union seven children were born.

Our dad along with his brothers worked hard and long for many years in the pulpwood and lumber industry. They did the best they could with what they had. He also worked part-time for the late Sylvester Grooms of Grooms Funeral Home for several years. He was a man with very few words but got things done. We were Blessed to have him in our lives for 94 years. “To GOD Be The Glory”

He departed this life on Sunday, November 7, 2021.

He leaves the joy of his memories to his children, Patricia Williams Dale, Phillip (Patricia) Williams, Janice (Noel Sr.) Thomas, Hoyt (Elizabeth) Williams, Ricky Sanders, Bernadette Sanders; a sister Sally Jones; a brother Johnny (Bertha) Williams; 20 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many many friends.

He was preceded in death by his children J. C. Williams Jr., Henrietta Williams Walker, Linda Williams; grandson Michael Bowens Williams; sisters, Catherine Johnson, Rosa Lee Biggins, Lizzie Mae Duvall; brothers, Fred Williams and Willie Williams.
