Jake Hollis

Mr. Jake Hollis, the son of Mr. Joseph Hollis and Mrs. Queen Ester Hollis. He was born on April 2, 1951, in Thomasville, Georgia. He attended Susie H. Dunlap School and graduated from the Douglas High School class of 1970.

He played on the Douglas High School Lion Championship football team. He was number 30. He also attended the Massey Business College in Jacksonville, Florida.

He was married to Mrs. Flora Mickens Hollis Randall. She was his best friend and caregiver. Mr. Hollis worked and retired from the News Port News Shipbuilding Company in News Port News, Virginia.

Mr. Hollis departed this life early on Sunday morning, July 10, 2022, at the Sentara Careplex Hospital in Hampton, Virginia.

He leaves to mourn his passing his ex-wife and caregiver: Mrs. Flora Mickens Hollis Randall of Hampton, VA.; one sister: Mrs. Barbara Williams (Pastor Earl) of Columbus, GA.; one brother: Ranch Hollis of Miami, FL; and a host of other relatives and friends.
