Gladys Freeman Shivers

Gladys Shivers was a faithful member of Crusaders for Christ Church. She had a big heart and always wanted the best for everyone around her. Gladys dedicated many years of her life to helping others, working at a nursing home in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Later in life, she continued to care for others through home care work, leaving behind a legacy of compassion and service.

She leaves to cherish her memory one loving son, Randy Shivers of Fort Lauderdale, FL. She is also survived by her siblings: Johnnie Mae King of Hollywood, FL; Dorothy Brinson of Thomasville, GA; Roger Freeman (Helen) of Thomasville, GA; and Carolyn Dumas of Thomasville, GA. Her best friend, Mamie Brown of Hollywood, FL, also holds her memory close, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members who loved her dearly.

Gladys was preceded in death by her sisters, Mattie Freeman-Williams and Margaret Freeman-Lovett. Her warmth, strength, and care will be missed, but her spirit lives on in all those she touched.
