 A TIME TO BE BORN

Mother Eunice Virginia Lurry - daughter of The Late Herbert Lurry Sr. and Loney Ross Lurry born on Jan 29, 1933, in Cairo, GA. She joined the Church early in life at Rocky Hill A.M.E. in Beachton, GA.

A TIME TO LEARN

Eunice Virginia Lurry graduated from Liberty High School in Beachton, Georgia on May 21, 1954. In 1964 on the 6th day of March she became a Practical Nurse in general techniques. While in New York, she attended Dunton Presbyterian Church in South Ozone Park under Pastor Samuel Holder. After retiring from this field, she opened up her own Day Care. Her last church was Willow Head Missionary Baptist Church at 615 East Calhoun St., Thomasville, GA under Pastor William Brinson. She loved working in her garden.

 A TIME TO LOVE

Eunice Lurry was joined in Holy Matrimony to Leon Andrew Riddick on June 28, 1955, in The Borough of Brooklyn, City of New York. She remained married to him until death.

A TIME TO SERVE

She accepted Christ early in life at Rocky Hill AME church in Beachton, GA. She spent time serving the lord in New York as well. She returned back to Thomasville where she served at Willow Head Missionary Baptist Church. She was an active and devoted servant of the Lord.

A TIME TO GO HOME

Eunice was the last of her siblings to pass. She was preceded in death by her mother Loney Lurry, Aunt Etta Mae Lurry, Uncle Earnest Lurry (Ira Lurry and Cora Hadley), her sisters-in-law Dorothy Lurry, Geraldine Addison, and Ethel Howard, and brother-in-law Herman. She outlived her brothers, Herbert Lurry Jr., James C. Lurry, Charlie W. Lurry, Thomas Lurry, and her only sister Bernice Lurry Grant.

LEAVES TO MOURN

A host of nieces and nephews - great and great-great. Special Cousins Gloria Peeks, Pam Cason, Godson Leo "Virgil"; as a friend, Mrs. Bobbie Crawford.

A TIME TO DIE On July 4, 2026, she looked toward heaven, and God saw her suffering and missing all of her family. He told one of His servants to go down to Thomasville, GA to Wildwood Apt. 98 and bring His servant home, where she peacefully slept away. So in her heart she said goodbye to her earthly family, for her calling was much greater, and the light shined much brighter. "Love you all until we meet again, love each other."
