Ethel Mae (Andrews) Johnson

Our Shero Have you ever considered your mother as your hero? Even though she's no hero, she was our shero. She was much sweeter than both the black or golden oreo. Ethel Mae Andrews Johnson was everything a mother could be. On August 4, 1975, she decided to name me Charity Joiel Johnson. According to the Bible the name Charity means love. My shero said that I was her gift from above, not knowing that she was my gift from God. While molding me through the years, she was responsible for molding my siblings, Erin Johnson and Journee Johnson as well. It has been a blessing to have had a mother who was always full of love, while sharing lots of advice, which will always live in our hearts. So when you see us, you're looking at the product of our shero. That's why our little light will always shine. The Obituary Ethel Mae Andrews Johnson was born on August 28, 1949 in Thomas County to the late Vick and Janie Crumby Andrews. After graduating from Thomasville High School, Ethel decided to further her studies by attending college to study nursing, which she later earned the credentials to work as a Registered Nurse for 51 years. She leaves to mourn her loss, her three lovely children, Charity Wilmore of Thomasville, Ga., Erin Johnson of Tallahassee, Fl., and Journee Johnson of Thomasville, Ga. She was preceded in death by Lula Harrison (sister) and survived by (sisters) Irene Monroe of Lancaster, California, Mary Gordon of Thomasville, Ga.,(two brothers) Robert Andrews of Bainbridge, Ga., and Nick (Tanya) Andrews of Thomasville, Ga.;special nieces, Benita Harrison and Natasha Gordon. Ethel was also survived by (grandson) Ashton Johnson; (god-son) Paul Marshal, and (god-daughter) Wendy Jenkins. She will be missed by a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.
