Essie Mae Dubose

The Lord is My Shepherd…

Essie Mae Dubose was born on March 24, 1932 to Hattie Mae and Malachi Wilson of Willacoochie, Ga. She was married to the late Marshall DuBose in this union were born twins, Wayne and Dwayne Dubose who both proceeded her in death. Two grandchildren preceeded her in death: Kimberly Marie Dubose and Nicholas Dubose.

Essie gave her life to Christ at an early age while attending New Bethel Baptist Church in Coolidge, Ga. She was a wife and mother. She devoted many years cropping tobacco and working as a housekeeper for many families in the Coolidge community. She devoted time with her family and friends and lived a life of laughter and joy.

She leaves to cherish her memory three grandchildren: Stephanie Killens (Albany, Ga); Vanessa (Phillip) Davis, Albany, Ga and Dwayne (Channelle) Dubose, Evans, Ga. One Daughter in law Linda Dubose, Coolidge, Ga. Six Great Grandchildren: Makayla Thoms, Tuskegee, AL; Mackenzie Thomas, Albany, GA; KamMaya DuBose, Coolidge, GA. Dorian, lyric, Harmony and Major Dubose, Newnan, Ga. A host of nieces, nephews, friends and other family members.
