Reflection of Life
Mrs. Emma Reid Duncan was born on August 28, 1921, in Thomas County to the late Emma and Wesley Reid of Thomasville, Ga. She was preceded in death by her sister, Mamie Reid. Later in life, Mrs. Emma met and married the late Raiford Duncan Sr. To this union, two sons were born: the late Willie Joe Duncan (Shirley Thomas Duncan) of Thomasville, GA, who preceded her in death, and Raiford Duncan Jr.
Mrs. Emma was a devoted member of Willow Head Missionary Baptist Church, where she served faithfully on the usher board and sang in the senior choir until her health declined. Her favorite song was This Little Light of Mine, I'm Going to Let It Shine.
