Mr. Eddie L. Smith was born January 5, 1936, to the late John Smith, Jr. And Mae Eva Smith Larkins in Monticello, Fl.

He received his education from New Union School.

He owned an automotive shop on Jackson St. For many years. He was a Security Guard at the Thomas County Prison. He worked at Southwestern State Hospital until retirement. Eddie was also Affectionately known as Brown Sugar, Big Pappa, and Pappa Daddy.

On November 23, 2013, he married Mary C. McMillian.

He leaves to mourn his passing, his loving and devoted wife Mary C. Smith. One son; Isaac Smith, Two stepson; Benjamin McMillian and Wayne McMillian (Gay), a daughter; Cornelius Jones (Darel) and one stepdaughter; LaTae Hylton. His nieces; Gloria Raines (Arrice) Harrison, Mae Eva (Eugene) Williams, Jacqueline Williams and Valria (Timothy) Lucas. Brother-in-Law; Willie Carr, Sister-in-Law; Julia Hayward. A host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Special memories with Dorothy (Boot) Jackson, Emma Marshall, and Peggy Seabrooks.

Eddie was preceded in death by his father; John Smith, Jr., Mother; Mae Eva Smith Larkins, Sister; Thelma Smith-Small, Great Nieces; Felicia Raines and Tracey Williams.
