Eddie James Dunbar

REFLECTION OF LIFE EDDIE DUNBAR “Kurt Flood” was born in Thomas County (Boston), Georgia on October 15,1958. He was one of five boys and 6 girls born to Jimmy and Daisy Dunbar.

EDDIE was preceded in death by his parents and seven siblings: Jimmie, Janie, Doris, Beulah, Jacob, Joseph, and Samuel.

EDDIE was educated in the Thomas County school system. He graduated with the Class of 1977 from Central High School. After graduating high school, he entered the United States Army, and served eight years, where he made the rank of “SERGEANT”, and later departed the Army with an Honorable Discharge.

EDDIE was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He wore many hats and had a huge heart that he shared with the world. He shared his gift as an electrician and his laughter (comedian) with the world. On December 26, 2024, the Lord called him home. He may be gone, but he will never be forgotten!

He leaves to cherish his memories his loving and devoted wife Bertha Dunbar “Bert”; his ten children: Michelle Robinson of Daytona Beach, Fla, Selessia (Arnold III) McRay of Pompano Beach, Fla, Eddie Dunbar Jr of Minneapolis, MN, Brandon Dunbar of Largo, Fla, Emanuel (Lakeisha) Dunbar of Tampa, Fla, and Amber Dunbar of Tampa, Fla; (step-children) Kenosia, Calvin, and Kelsy of Boston, Ga; Three siblings: Bertha Jones of Clearwater, Fla, Mary Richardson, and Rosie Henry of Boston, Georgia; and a bonus sister Lois Brown of Pennsauken, NJ. Two childhood best friends: Jeffry Samuel and Safford Murray “SAP” of Boston, Ga. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
