On September 20, 1972, the late Mr. Harold Green and Betty Hudson Green were blessed by God with a beautiful baby girl who they named Shareaka Nichole Green, but her father affectionately called her “Teaspoon”. This baby brought much joy to her family, as well as many others, as she traveled her life’s journey for 53 years and four days. Her journey ended as she transitioned from this world in the early morning hours on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at the Miller County Specialty Care Facility in Colquitt, Georgia.
She received her early religious training at Healing Temple Ministries where her family worshipped. She accepted Christ and joined the church at an early age.
Shareaka received her elementary and high school education in public schools in Atlanta and Thomasville, Georgia. She graduated from Thomasville High School in 1991 and continued her education at Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, Georgia in the Fall of that same year. She graduated from Georgia Southern with a Bachelor of Science in Health Science (Community Health) in 1997, and a Bachelor of Science in Child and Family Development in 1999. She continued her educational pursuits at Savannah State University and earned a Master of Social Work in 2004. Her final academic accomplishment was achieved in 2012 when she received a Doctor of Philosophy from Walden University.
March 9, 1996, was a very special day for Shareaka. It was her Wedding Day. On this day she married Esavare Devon Miller in a ceremony at Healing Temple Church in Thomasville, Georgia. Their union was blessed with two daughters (Keani and Kea’dyn), one son (Kea’meron), and one stepdaughter (Acacia). In addition to their children, they parented several four-footed furry family members (Champ, Biscuit, Solomon, Blue and Thor).
She was employed as a part time adjunct professor at Walden University, a manager and counselor at Pineland Mental Health, and counselor at Willing Way Hospital/Alcohol Drug Addiction Facility. She was a “Silver Star” member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
She leaves to cherish many precious memories, her husband of 29 years, Esavare Devon Miller, children, Keani, Kae’dyn, Kea’meron, Statesboro, Georgia; and stepdaughter, Acacia, Brunswick, Georgia; a godson Shawn Watson, Atlanta, Georgia; and Thor (the current furry family member); her mother, Betty Green of Statesboro, Georgia; her brother Harold (Brittany) Green, Duluth Georgia; her sister Latasha Green(Charlie) Ramsby, Statesboro, Georgia; aunts, Doshia Hart, Tampa Florida; Joyce Smith, Denise Hudson, Teresa (Jerome) Clark; uncle, Leroy (Lillie) Hudson; mother-in-law, Janice Brown, and brother-in-law, Bennie Brown, III, all of Thomasville, Georgia; nieces, Savannah and Abigail Green, Duluth, Georgia; nephew, Garrett Andrae, Pooler, Georgia; her beloved extended family, Sammie (Kim) Dixon; Sadie Blue, Sam III, and Robert Tallahassee, Florida; special friends, Erika (Anthony) Watson, Vanessa Roberts, and Hazel Edmonds; a special aunt by choice and love, Cheryl Mitchell, Atlanta, Georgia; a very special cousin, Constance L.
