Senior Deacon Thomas E. Andrews Sr., affectionately known as "Brother," peacefully departed from his earthly home on September 23, 2026, at Camilla Gardens Hospice Care in Thomasville, Georgia.

Named after his grandfather, T.E. Glenn, Brother was born July 13, 1942, in Metcalf, Georgia, as the son of the late Azell Andrews Sr. and Ethel Lee Glenn.

At a young age, he joined Friendship M. B. Church as a devoted member who fulfilled his duties across multiple roles. Not once did he ever waver in his faith, serving the Lord up until the day his health failed him.

Guided by his grandfather, he developed strong farming skills. Driven by his deep devotion to his family and an unwavering resolve, he willingly put his own education aside to support his siblings, giving them the chance to build a better life for themselves and to reach their full potential.

He was a retired employee of Oil Dri, Flower Bakery, Sunnyland, and Metcalf Lumber Company, and was highly respected at each by various employers and coworkers. For decades, he was married to Mattie Mae Andrews, who stayed by his side until the end.

He is now remembered alongside his sisters, Mattie B. Johnson and Gloria A. Ford, and his brother, Azell Andrews Jr.

He is survived by two daughters, Cynthia L. Andrews and Cheryl Andrews-Adams (Clem); a son, Thomas E. Andrews Jr.; his sister, Rosetta Brown; and his two brothers, William L. Andrews (Gladys) of Alpharetta, Georgia and Roosevelt Andrews (Pamice) of Dacula, Georgia; and one brother-in-law, Kaiser Ford.

He also leaves behind four grandchildren: Michael Adams, Michael Green, Floyd Davis Jr. and Marion Wilson; eight great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, including his very special friend Pat Walker of Camilla, Georgia; as well as his extended families: the Hardys, Ingrams, and Flenos—all of whom will miss him dearly.
