Debra Inez Childs Yearby

Debra Inez Childs Yearby was born on October 17, 1957 in Thomasville, GA. She was the last child born to A.J. and Esther Bell Childs who preceded her in death.

Debra attended Thomasville High School where she graduated in 1975. She attended Southwest Georgia Technical College with a dual degree in the medical field. In 1978, Debra married Ralph, the love of her life for 50 years.

For the past 5 years, Debra started a journey that tested her faith. Despite the obstacles, Debra persevered as a child of God because she knew that she would someday answer His call from labor to reward.

Debra was a devoted wife, daughter, sister, aunt and niece. She enjoyed spending time with her family, listening to music, shopping and calling the order of the day.

Debra was called to eternal rest on Sunday, June 5, 2022. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Debra leaves to cherish her memory a loving and devoted husband: Ralph Yearby; 3 sisters: Irene Ashford and Mary (Wayne) Clark both of Rochester, NY; Barbara (Harris) King; 1 brother: Charlie Childs of Rochester, NY; only living aunt: Marjorie Mullins; Brothers-in-law: Johnny (Vivian) Yearby, Bernard (Debra) Yearby; Sisters-in-law: Dorothy (Joseph) Cosby, Wilma (Will) Burke, Cynthia (Kenneth) Wade, Devony (Oscar) Clark; many nieces, nephews, a host of other relatives and friends. Special friends are Connie Walker, Charlene Hampton and Faye Walker Sherman. She was preceded in death by a sister: Leona Childs Thompson and two brothers: A.J. Childs, Sr. and Henry Childs.
