Claretha Evans Carnage was born January 23, 1938, to the late Isaac Evans and Mattie Goodman Dock.
She was born in Thomasville, GA and attended Douglas High School, where she graduated in the class of 1957 and married her high school sweetheart Frank Carnage.
They moved to Coconut Grove, FL., Where her only daughter, Miriam Carnage was born. She resided in Miami until she retired as a Social Business Engraver and returned to Thomasville in 2006. Claretha was a zealous and supreme woman who left and impression on nearly everyone she met. She was fiercely passionate and skillful at sewing and was known for her gorgeous handmade quilts. She was respectfully known by many names: "Grandma, Sister, C.C., and Clara During her lifetime, she encouraged many including younger siblings, nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Claretha was preceded in death by her Parents: Isaac Evans and Mattie Goodman Dock; Daughter; Miriam Carnage; Siblings; Gussie Mae Green, Evelyn Gates, Alfreda Evans, Lorenza Evans, David Dock, Michael Dock, Timothy Dock, Larry Little, and James Mathis Dock; and Special Friend: Nash Davis.
Claretha leaves to mourn her Granddaughters: Nakesha Carnage of Thomasville, GA., and Kimberly Carnage Lively of Miami FL.; Great-grandchildren: Destini Davis, Autumn Lively, Mantrell Brown Jr. and Morris Lively; Brother; Lafayette Dock Jr.; Sisters: Bessie Dock and Deloris Dock- Moore; As well as a host of relatives and friends.
