Cecil Turner was born on March 15, 1928, to parents Robert Turner and Mattie Wilton, both of Megis, GA. Cecil attended the Coolidge school system. He later met Elizabeth Bostick who became Elizabeth Turner. They lived as husband and wife until her death. They had nine kids, three of whom preceded them in death, Arthur Simpson, Pricilla Williams, and Twinkle Turner Ivey. Cecil found Christ at an early age and became an active member of Mt. Sinai, where he was one of the oldest members. Cecil worked for Thomas County Electric Department for over 20 years. He retired from there. Cecil Turner leaves to cherish his memories: sons, Odell Johnson (wife), Rex Turner, Robert Turner, all of Thomasville, and Eddie Turner of Houston, TX; daughters, Anne Mickens of Thomasville, Vinnie Mae Crawford (Kenny) of Chicago, IL, and Mattie Turner of San Diego, CA; brothers, Robert Cooke Turner and Oscar Turner of Thomasville, GA; sister, Justine Slaughter of Sylvester, GA; a
host of nephews, nieces, grandchildren, great- grands, loved ones, and friends.
