Beverly Harrison

Beverly Harrison 70, transitioned from us on April 16, 2022 after living a life well lived filled with family, friends and love in Thomasville, Georgia. Beverly was born to the late Samuel J. Cummings and Lillar B. Saunders on June 15, 1951 in Cleveland, Ohio. She graduated from Magnolia High School in Thomasville, GA in 1969 and Southern University in 1978.

Beverly was married to her husband Robert L. Harrison for 41 years. Beverly worked in the field of social work for over 30 years. Upon retirement, she was employed by The Douglas Alumni Association upon her death and was also a well-known Income Tax Preparer in Thomasville. The role she played best was as the matriarch of her family. The greatest joy in her life was her family, in particular her husband, children and grandchildren. She enjoyed laughing and was a champion when it came to home cooked meals.

She is survived by four children: Gejuan ‘Anthony’ Cummings, Kendrick ‘Kenny’ Cummings, Ashley Harrison and Eric Harrison (Jenis) and ‘2nd Daughter:’ Nikita Wade and 4 grandchildren: Kendajah Cummings, Jordon Payton, Elan Harrison and Kendrick Cummings Jr. Beverly is also survived by Sisters: Francena Cummings, Thomasville, GA and Brenda Stover of Cleveland, OH; Brothers: Ralph Cummings and Leonard Cummings, Cleveland, Ohio.

Beverly was loved by many and celebrated by nieces, nephews and a host of family and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at 12:00 pm at The Deep South Fairgrounds, Thomasville, Ga. 31757
