Barbara Hayward was born August 6,1942 in Thomasville, Ga to the Late Lewis James Sr. and Maggie Scott.

She was educated in the school systems of Thomas County, Ga.As a young woman she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and was a faithful member in her church community wherever she resided throughout her life.

In her adult life she moved to St Peterburg, FL where she resided for many years until her final move to Jacksonville, FL in 2009. She worked much of her life in the hospitality industry. She was known for her hearty laugh, fun loving nature, cooking and dedication to her family and friends. She didn’t meet a stranger.

She is preceded in death by her siblings Willie James Scott, Lewis James Scott Jr., Ruby Cooney (George) and Charlie James Scott.

Her memories will be left cherished by her sons, Alton Scott, Tony Hayward and Andrea Hayward (Rita), her grandchildrenAndre Hayward Jr, Samantha McFarland and Brandon Baker,Alton Scott Jr., Joshua Scott, Nikky McKelly (9) great grandchildren, her siblings Norman Scott, MaryAnn Boykins, Maggie May Revels, and countless nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, godchildren, relatives and friends.She will be missed and forever in our hearts.
