Andrew Daniel Williams, Sr. “A.D.”
Andrew Daniel Williams, Sr., affectionately known as A.D., was born on February 6, 1947, in Pavo, Georgia to the late Rutha Mae and Joseph Williams, Sr.
A.D. received his education in Brooks and Thomas County, GA, where he developed a strong work ethic that would shape his future. In 1966, he made the decision to move to St. Petersburg, Florida, and it was there that his journey as a brick mason began. Over the years, he honed his skills and became the proud owner and operator of A.D. Williams Masonry. His craftsmanship can be seen in various buildings across the Tampa Bay area, including the iconic Tropicana Field.
Beyond his professional achievements, A.D. was known for his unwavering dedication to his family and was respected within the community. He was known as a friendly and approachable individual, always ready to lend a helping hand or share his knowledge of brick masonry with others. His generosity and willingness to teach endeared him to many, leaving a lasting impact on those whose lives he touched. When A.D. wasn't busy with his work or spending time with his loved ones, he enjoyed simple pleasures. Whether it was engaging in lively conversations and laughter with his family, cheering on his favorite football team, or trying his luck at the casino, A.D. knew how to make the most of his spare time. A.D. was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Daniels Williams, as well as his sons, Darrell Daniels and Andrew Williams, Jr., and grandson, Jonathan Johnson: parents, Rutha Mae and Joseph Williams, Sr.; and brothers, Joseph Williams, Jr., and Willie James Williams.
